Brunswick Corp. has launched a new Boating Services Network. Its first initiative will be OnBoard Boating Club and Rentals, which it intends to roll out with marine dealers and marinas across the United States and Canada.

statement said that the “turnkey business platform” is designed to “serve the emerging and rapidly growing boat club and rental consumer market segments.”

Brunswick said it is looking for partners for next year’s boating season.

"We've launched OnBoard at a great time,” said Cecil Cohn, vice president of the Boating Services Network, in the statement. “We can take advantage of the strong and growing interest in boating lifestyle experiences while participating in sharing-economy trends. We have the opportunity to attract a new generation of boaters and provide them with a positive, exceptional experience on the water."

Brunswick had partnered with Suntex Marinas on a pilot program over the last few years.

"Our success with Suntex is rooted in a common objective to grow boating participation and ownership while providing exceptional consumer experiences,” said Bijoy Jha, vice president of business development and finance for Boating Services Network, in the statement. “We are currently supporting Suntex in the operation of multiple boating clubs and rental locations.”

Cohn said the club will offer a fleet of boat brands, financing for approved partners, an online reservation system and more.

"We believe that by offering the best value and experience, we can grow and cultivate interest as a gateway to boat ownership across a broader cross section of consumers,” Cohn added.
