Glastron is one of the most widely known names in family boats. Founded in 1956, the company was the first large-scale manufacturer of fiberglass boats and continues to build some of the most popular entry-level and mid-range boats in the world. Glastron design has always reflected the tastes and style of boaters around the world. There is a sense of refinement beneath the distinctive good looks, a subtle sophistication, a sense that form always follows function. Everything from the comfort of a contoured seat to the placement of a cup holder all works in harmony to make your days on the water more enjoyable. A half-century of attention to design detail and quality craftsmanship is evident throughout every Glastron model for 2006. Focusing on boats of trailerable size, this Genmar company now offers 23 fiberglass models. Glastron’s three DX deck boats are offered in 20-, 21-, and 23-foot lengths. All are stern-drive powered and designed for family boating, with generous seating, lots of walk-around space, fiberglass floors, dockside entry gates, large swim platforms and deep-water boarding ladders. Each Glastron is outfitted with a Clarion audio system with CD player and Sirius satellite radio. (Glastron even includes a 12-month Sirius subscription). Popular options include snap-in carpet, cockpit table, bow filler cushions, porta-pottie, docking lights and a swim platform shower. |
