Florida Police Raid Dealership

Police on Tuesday raided a Florida boat dealership and seized two boats suspected of being stolen, according to a report in the Orlando Sentinel.

 

The Seminole County Sheriff's Office and Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission are jointly investigating Aquamarine USA in Sanford. The company sells boats on consignment.

 

Officials told the Sentinel they have received many complaints about boats being sold without titles or without the proper amount of money going to the boat owners.

 

No arrests were made, according to local news reports.

 

The company has been in trouble with the law before. County deputies in 2003 arrested Aquamarine president Earl Marion Smith Jr., according to the Sentinel. He is awaing trial on one count of grand theft of $100,000 or more, according to the paper.
