August 2006 News

Australia's Northside Marine added Indiana-based Rinker Boats to its product line.

A fleet of seven Rinkers will be unveiled at the upcoming Brisbane International Boat Show. The new releases will include the 250, 270 and 300 express cruisers; 230 cuddy cabin; 192 and 226 bowriders; and 226 R1 wakeboarder.

"The Rinker name may not be familiar to most Australians, but Rinker has been producing boats in the USA since 1945 and the name represents excellent value for [the] money," Greg Nickerson, managing director of Northside Marine, said in a statement.

"Rinker will enable Northside to move into the big-boat market with six models above 23 feet, which is the maximum length of our Whittley cruiser range," he said.
