Used Gets Better

February 2007 News

World Publications' UsedBoats.com and YachtBroker.com are now allowing dealers and brokers to upload their own videos of boats they have for sale.

Capitalizing on the popularity of Web sites such as You Tube that allow user-generated video to be posted online, UsedBoats.com and YachtBroker.com will offer this service free for a limited time to customers of those Web sites.

Brokers and dealers can now bring their listings "to life" with their own narrated videos, allowing prospective buyers to see exactly what they are getting with each particular listing. Research shows that Web site visitors are five times more likely to click on a listing that has video than one with photos alone, according to the company. Typical videos will run from one to three minutes.

UsedBoats.com serves individuals, dealers and brokers selling and buying boats on the Internet; Yachtborker.com acts as a broker-listings-only site, featuring only yachts under confirmed central or open contracts.
