Electronics Help

March 2007 News

West Marine is offering free seminars in Rhode Island and Massachusetts this boating season.

A variety of topics will be covered, with the primary focus being on marine electronics. The seminars will be presented by Paul Hyde of Yachting Enterprises, a marine service/consulting firm based in Marion, Mass.

"Over the last few years marine technology has advanced tremendously," Hyde said in a statement. "Many people get overwhelmed by all of the advanced capabilities of today's electronics. The key to understanding a modern navigation system is to learn how the core features work and then build from there as you gain experience."

The seminars, which begin in May, will include tips on selecting, installing, and using marine electronics and other technologies. A complete listing of events can be found on the store locator page at www.westmarine.com.

Space is limited and reservations are suggested. Contact the hosting store to register.
