Tracker Marine Group joins MATES

April 2007 News

The Marine Association for Technology Exchange Standards recently welcomed Tracker Marine Group of Springfield, Mo., to its membership roster.

"With the addition of Tracker Marine Group, MATES gains the experience of a multiline boatbuilder with a distinctive retail and dealership infrastructure," John Warnik, MATES executive director, said in a statement.

MATES is an affiliate of the National Marine Manufacturers Association. The association's goal is to develop a set of data communication standards by which the marine industry at large can operate, effectively reducing IT burdens, eliminating system incompatibility and making it easier for companies to transact business with one another.

"We believe one of MATES' key objectives - improving communication and standardizing message formats from the dealer level on up to manufacturing - is in line with our own company objectives," said Jeff Scherer, Internet & Interactive manager for Tracker Marine Group, in a statement.
