Mercury Marine To Open Training Center

June 2007 News

Mercury Marine will offer technical training courses for its dealers beginning in October, from the new Springfield, Mo., home of Mercury University at the Ozarks Technical Community College.

This state-of-the-art center aligns with Mercury University's vision to provide more hands-on dealer technical training. The training center has separate MerCruiser and outboard classrooms, each offering more space than the single combined classroom at the previous location.

In addition, the design allows each of the rooms to be equipped with multiple test tanks, providing hands-on training utilizing running engines.

Two classrooms allow Mercury University the flexibility to schedule simultaneous outboard and MerCruiser classes during prime training season in the winter.

is located close to Springfield-Branson Regional airport, major highways and hotels.

To prepare the new center for fall classes, Mercury University stopped offering dealer technical training classes at the Lake Career and Technical Center in Camdenton, Mo., May 1.

Mercury Marine, a division of Brunswick Corp., is a leading manufacturer of recreational marine propulsion engines.
