The Vault "Hybrid Lubrication System" is a sealed pressurized chamber using a semi-fluid oil that combines the benefits of both oil and grease for wheel bearing lubrication and protection. At ambient temperatures the oil is thick with viscosity, similar to grease. As the bearing temperature rises during towing, the Vault's hybridoil thins out, replenishing the bearings with lubricant and dissipating heat.

Beginning with the 2008 model year, most custom bunk painted and aluminum series Phoenix Trailers will be equipped with the Vault axle.
