New Product Review Day allows prospective vendors to pitch their products to the giant retailer for an opportunity to sell at West Marine's 372 retail stores and through its website, catalogs and wholesale distribution company.
At a previous New Product Review Day, West Marine was introduced to the Go Bike, a bike that folds in 15 seconds, which West Marine sells exclusively in the United States.
"New products are critical for us as well as our customers and we're hopeful that we'll meet new suppliers and uncover some great new items for 2008," said CEO Geoff Eisenberg, in a statement.

West Marine recently reported a drop in net sales for the fourth quarter and fiscal 2007.
In a conference call with analysts today, Eisenberg declined to elaborate on the company's financial results and its plans for this year. Eisenberg, who took over the helm of the company last month, says he will discuss more details when the company releases its full earnings results on Feb. 28.
