Members sought for National Boating Safety Advisory Council

The Coast Guard is seeking applications for membership on the National Boating Safety Advisory Council.

The 21-member council meets at least twice a year. Members include state officials, representatives of recreational boating industry manufacturers, including equipment manufacturers and representatives of national recreational boating organizations, and the general public.

The Coast Guard is seeking to fill seven positions that will expire or become vacant Dec. 31.

Two representatives from state boating safety programs, three representatives from recreational boat and equipment manufacturers, and two representatives of the general public or national boating organizations are being sought.

Applications must be received by July 9.
