TakeMeFishing.org wins award for Web site

TakeMeFishing.org was selected as an official honoree in the education category in the 14th annual Webby Awards, the Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation announced.

The site, which attracted nearly 3 million unique visitors in the last year, was among the top 15 percent of all work entered that exhibits remarkable achievement.

"We are thrilled to be recognized as a Webby honoree for the second year in a row," RBFF president and CEO Frank Peterson said in a statement. "We're constantly working to improve the site and in 2010 we're going to give visitors access in the palm of their hands, with a new mobile site and cutting-edge boating and fishing app."

The Webby Awards is the leading international award honoring excellence on the Internet, including Web sites, interactive advertising, online film and video and mobile Web sites.

The 14th Annual Webby Awards received nearly 10,000 entries from all 50 states and more than 60 countries.
