First Glastron boat rolls off new production line

June 2010 News

The Recreational Boat Group, a division of Platinum Equity affiliate Project Boat Holdings, announced that the first Glastron boat has come off the manufacturer's new production line at its Cadillac, Mich., plant.

The first unit, a 2011 DS 205 deckboat, rolled off the production line last Friday.

Under new owner Platinum Equity, the former Genmar company moved production from Little Falls, Minn., to the Cadillac plant in February. Management stressed that despite the move, product availability remains stable and on track.

"We want our dealers to know that we are kicking off our 2011 model year with more energy, more resources and more focus than ever before," said Roch Lambert, president of the Recreational Boat Group.
