Dometic offers free advisory guide

Dometic Marine published its first advisory guide, called "Cleaning Up Our Waters."

The six-page guide is available on the company's website as a free, downloadable PDF and will be available from Dometic's dealers, global sales companies and company stands at coming boat shows.

"To help boaters understand the importance of having a holding tank on their pleasure boat, we produced 'Cleaning Up Our Waters,' which answers frequently asked questions and helps boaters make responsible decisions about whether or not to install a holding tank," said Ned Trigg, Dometic senior vice president of global systems sales, in a statement.

The advisory guide includes topics such as the workings of a holding tank; the potential harm of human sewage (black water); tips on tank installation; and current legislation for boaters cruising in Europe.
