Brunswick brands are well represented on an annual ranking of the best dealers in North America.
The list takes into consideration overall business operations, customer service, professionalism and all of the winning characteristics that go along with these traits, according to the publishers. The ranking was announced Nov. 17 by Boating Industry magazine at the Marine Dealer Conference & Expo in Orlando, Fla.
There are more Sea Ray dealers in the top 10 and top 100 than any other boatbuilder. Six of the top 10 dealers are Sea Ray dealers, and the No. 1 dealer in the ranking, Prince William Marine Sales in Woodbridge, Va., has been a Sea Ray dealer for 18 years. There are 28 Sea Ray dealers in the top 100.
Of the 100 dealers acknowledged, 24 are Bayliner dealers, outnumbering every other brand represented except for its sister brand, Sea Ray.
"We congratulate our dealers, who have made tremendous efforts over the course of a tough year to improve their businesses and achieve this recognition. Last year's showing of 18 Bayliner dealers in the top 100 was outstanding, and now our dealers have raised the bar significantly," Bayliner president Jeff Behan said. "When you look at the best-of-the-best dealers in the U.S. and Canada, virtually one out of every four carries the Bayliner brand."
The award recognizes marine dealers for superior overall business operations, customer service, marketing and professionalism. More than 3,000 nominations were made for the top 100 spots.
Barb Woodard, owner and accessories manager of 14th-ranked Woodard Marine in Hydeville, Vt., also earned the Marine Retailers Association of America's Darlene Briggs Marine Woman of the Year Award. It recognizes devoted service, unwavering commitment and the advancement of women in the marine industry.
