Families on the Gulf Coast who elect to stay close to home for the Memorial Weekend holidays can enjoy a two-hour tour of the Mobile-Tensaw River Delta aboard Blakeley State Park's 50-passenger pontoon boat Saturday.
The Delta Explorer departs the Blakeley Park dock on the Tensaw River at 9:30 a.m. and returns at 11:30 a.m. Along the route, the shallow draft boat tours remote and picturesque sites deep in the Delta. Plants, birds and the Delta alligators are sights easily viewed from the covered boat. The crew includes a narrator.
