AUSTIN - An "Autumn Leaves and Lunch Pontoon Boat Tour" has been announced from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. for Saturday, Oct. 1 at the Sinnemahoning State Park.
Join the park naturalist for a morning autumn leaves pontoon boat excursion. Enjoy a light lunch on the boat, complete with tablecloths and music, as we cruise along the shores and wetland areas of the George B. Stevenson reservoir.
View the amazing fall colors of the surrounding ridges as reflected in the waters of the lake and learn the process that produces the beautiful fall foliage. The excursion will conclude with a look at the park's resident bald eagles nest site, and hopefully, a glimpse of these magnificent birds.
Participants are encouraged to bring their cameras. Binoculars and field guides will be provided. Cost is $20 per person, which includes a lunch served right on the boat.
