ALEXANDRIA, Va. - The Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation is partnering withTightlinz.com, a private discount fishing and boating product website that offers time-based deals, to promote private early access to select sales events for boaters and anglers.
"We're pleased to be working with TightLinz to make it easier and more enjoyable for boaters and anglers to gear up and get out on the water," said RBFF President and CEO Frank Peterson in a release. "This partnership benefits our existing programs, and helps support our ongoing efforts to engage more people in boating and fishing, and aquatic resource conservation."
TightLinz.com was founded in 2011 and offers salt, fresh and fly anglers discounts on gear from core fishing brands up to 70 percent off retail. The site launches a new deal each week and the deals are available until quantities are sold out, which according to TightLinz never lasts more than 72 hours.
"We believe strongly in the mission of RBFF and are proud to be able to concretely support the organization's efforts to ensure the future of angling in the U.S.," said TLZ Managing Partner Tuck Fauntleroy in a release. "RBFF understands that our efforts in putting tackle, apparel and angling accessories in the hands of people who fish directly impacts the number of days fished in the US. The more deeply involved in fishing people become, the better stewards of our environment and sport they become. We all are working towards a long and vibrant future for the $45 billion U.S. fishing industry."
The RBFF will be promoting the discounts through its websites, www.anglerslegacy.org and the Fishington online community, and anglers will be able to sign up as well through the Take Me Fishing website.
