Go-Float's line of electric boats is expanding for the 2012 model year.
The company's sun lounger model, the SL1, has evolved into the new Impulse for 2012. Joining the Impulse are two other new models, the Ion and the Fusion.
"Electric-powered vehicles continue to drive a lot of media coverage and consumer interest. These affordable new electric boats are timely and exciting. Our reliable electric power system delivers smooth, quiet performance, all without gas, gear case damage risk, winterizing or mechanical maintenance," Go-Float general manager Steve Hendrickson said in a statement.
At nearly 7 feet long, the Ion is about a foot shorter than the Impulse, the company's best seller. At 8 feet long, the new Fusion is the same length as the Impulse, but is 30 percent wider to comfortably accommodate two riders.
All three models are constructed with fiberglass hulls and decks incorporating the ergonomic comforts of Go-Float's signature recumbent seating.
The Ion, Impulse and Fusion all retail for less than $3,000, with base prices at $1,895, $2,195 and $2,895, respectfully.
