Nautic introduced the new Frontier Series to its Polar Kraft family of aluminum fishing boats.
The Frontier series is aimed at "weekend warriors" who want the benefits of a well-built fishing boat, but are looking for value, the company said.
Built on the Polar Kraft Deep-V padded hull, the Frontier Series features an all-around-level deck design. The six Frontiers are available in 17- and 18-foot models with familiar deck layouts, including walk-through windshield, dual-console and single-console designs.
Frontiers also come standard with a lockable center rod storage area that has plenty of room. Because they are built to run efficiently using smaller-horsepower outboards, they not only provide a higher, drier ride, but the lighter engine setup also means better fuel economy, easier trailering, and faster launch and retrieval at the boat ramp.
"I've never heard anyone say their boat has too much room for casting and fighting fish," senior vice president of sales and marketing Doug Sexton said in a statement. "These boats are not only beamy, but they really have a large footprint with a big, stable platform. You know, there's more to a boat than just a name. The Frontier series is wider and longer than other boats in this category, plus it's got a great warranty. These are just exceptionally well-built boats."

Carolina Cat Boats, a PowerCat Group brand, announced the introduction of a new 23-foot center console model the company says is both inshore- and offshore-capable.
The 23CC measures 22 feet, 7 inches LOA with an 8-foot, 6-inch beam. With a 96-gallon fuel capacity and a 27 mph cruise, the boat has a range of more than 250 miles. Yet the catamaran hull draws only 9 inches of water.
"The 23CC has a top speed of 46 miles per hour and 3.4 miles-per-gallon efficiency at cruise. So with a catamaran hull designed for smooth rides in rough seas, she is great for long offshore runs," PowerCat Group president Andy Brown said in a statement. "But the 23CC can also take anglers into areas normally only accessible with flats boats because of the shallow draft."
The 23CC features seating for as many as 10 crewmembers, with seating for five adults in the bow area. Beneath the bow seats are port and starboard 150-quart insulated boxes and a forward anchor locker. Forward of the console, the 23CC has another 40- quart insulated box and a cushioned seat.
The Carolina Cat 23CC is offered with 115 Yamaha four-stroke power and weighs 3,900 pounds with power.
