The new site provides users with a greater level of interaction and connectivity with Sea Tow - For the first time, Sea Tow members will be able to manage their accounts online.
"Members who move, purchase a new boat, or change their status in some other way will now be able to log in to their personal `My Sea Tow' portal on the website and update their profile," said Sea Tow Chief Administrative Officer Kristen Frohnhoefer. "In addition, the new site gives them easy access to news and information about their local Sea Tow operation and special Sea Tow member discounts and offers in their region."
Another innovative website feature lets users view the location not only of every Sea Tow operation in the U.S., but also of the individual Sea Tow boats stationed within each region - along with their GPS coordinates - on an interactive map. The Sea Tow Automated Radio Check tower positions also are displayed on the map, making it simple for boaters to locate the station nearest to them and find its corresponding hailing channel. "Sea Tow's Automated Radio Check service is an essential boating safety tool, and we want to be sure our members and other website users can quickly access the right VHF channel to perform a free radio check, whether they are in their home port or cruising in another part of the country," Frohnhoefer said.
The site also provides a wealth of boating safety tips, information about the various Sea Tow Membership levels, and exclusive member discounts and special offers from thousands of manufacturers, retailers, and service providers - all presented in a cleaner, clearer, easy-to-navigate web format.
