Trashcans are a funny thing. No one wants to see one, yet everyone needs one. Boat manufacturers are also a tad unpredictable when it comes to placing one on a boat. I have been on high-end boats that don’t have room for a trashcan while the same manufacturer’s entry-level model has a custom built location. Lucky for us, BagRack makes it so you don’t even have to think about it.
The BagRack is a convenient system that holds a grocery bag or trash bag in the perfect open position. The system uses suction cups to mount to any nonporous surface with ease. There are several adaptor positions, so you can attach it almost anywhere. I personally slapped it on the inside of the door under the helm station so my bag wouldn’t whip around in the wind. I gave the door a couple of solid slams and the system stayed tightly in place. Once we were anchored at a sandbar, I moved it to a panel wall and it fit snuggly there as well. As you probably know, suction cups can be hit or miss, but these held a tight grip. Throughout the day, we added to our trash bag several times and it never faltered. The handles on a grocery bag weave through the BagRack arms instead of just sitting on top so it’s secure no matter the wind conditions.
BagRack is proudly made right here in the U.S, which is one of my favorite things about it. The idea is simple, but ingenious at the same time. A combination like that makes for a great boat accessory. —Katie Burke, PDB Magazine
