“Our current rental fleet of pontoons are made up of Lowe SS210 and Sun Tracker Party Barge 20DLX models, and all are equipped with 60hp Mercury outboards,” says Alex Dickerson, the boat rental manager. “The next step up is our 25-foot Lowe SS250 pontoons with 115hp Mercury with a ski/tow bar. We have a total of 20 pontoon boats.”
The marina also rents 35-foot Top Deck boats from Destination Yacht with single 60hp Mercury engines, as well as Bayliner boats with a 4.3L MerCruiser engines.
New Improvements
Drew Spuller, the senior sales manager at FourWinds, took a moment to discuss what has been happening at the resort in preparation for this year’s vacation season. Luxury and cleanliness have been the top goal at FourWinds and a lot has been done to meet the guests’ expectations. Complete renovations have begun for the 118 rooms and will be completed by this spring.
“Guests have already noticed a major difference in our rooms,” says Spuller. “We want to make the hotel just as nice as the lake.”
Along with overhauling the hotel, FourWinds has also begun brainstorming special deals to give guests the most out of their stay. Many vacationers have the desire to take one of the rental boats on the lake for a chance to soak in the beauty of Hoosier National Forest, but can find it hard to pay the rental fees on top of their stay at the hotel.
