School Of The Year Standings

Published in the August 2014 Issue August 2014 News

With only one event left in the season, the University of North Alabama is dominating the Cabela's School of the Year points race with a commanding lead over the rest of the field.

After finishing second in the points race last year, the team changed its strategy in its effort to win the title of School of the Year. Previous president of the University of North Alabama Bass Team and recent graduate Robb Young stated that, “Getting second was bittersweet. We were happy to have gotten that far, but really wanted to win. This year we changed our strategy in the way we sent teams to tournaments.”

The UNA Bass Team has competed in 12 events so far this season to give them a solid 74-point lead over previous Cabela's School of the Year champions, the University of Louisiana Monroe. (www.collegiatebasschampionship.com)
