JC Manufacturing becomes JC TriToon Marine

April 2015 News

Formerly known as JC Manufacturing, the Indiana-based pontoon manufacturer has officially changed its name to JC TriToon Marine. The new brand identity for the 40-year-old company was established to highlight its historic and continual pontoon boat innovations.

“This effort to implement the name JC TriToon Marine matches our long-standing goal to provide boaters with well-made, premier pontoon models across many different lifestyles and uses,” says JC TriToon Marine President Kim Cripe. “We are essentially extending the invitation for avid and future pontoon boaters to see where the current advances in pontoons started, and to see how TriToon—and JC before—is integral to today's experience.”

The new identity in the business that was originally founded by John Cripe and Jerry Amsden does not involve a change in company ownership or management.

"The boating industry is a competitive one and it's important we work to ensure that people who want an outstanding experience are able to locate, consider and easily select among the nearly 40 custom TriToon models the one that is right for them," said Chris Hackleman, Director of Marketing. “Our customers have appreciated and enjoyed the benefits of our choice to custom create and build in-house so much of each pontoon instead of outsourcing or using the short cuts in assembly-line manufacturing.”

The JC TriToon Marine company's reputation is rooted in its U-shaped hull design, which helped changed the expectations of pontoon performance. A history of engineering testing, feedback and creative thinking is an important aspect of the company's culture.
