Discover Boating, a boating awareness campaign driven by the North American boating industry, is once again teaming up with country music recording artist Jake Owen as he joins Kenny Chesney’s THE BIG REVIVAL Tour. Together, they hope to encourage fans to share their boating stories and help others see that, in the words of Discover's motto, life is better on the water.
"Jake is a lifelong boater, who lives and breathes the boating lifestyle, and we’re proud to be working with him again to share his stories and passion for being on the water," says Carl Blackwell, president of Discover Boating. "His music conveys the same feel-good vibe you get being on a boat and we look forward to continuing to share that feeling with his fans and concertgoers throughout the summer tour."
Before Jake takes the stage at his various tour stops this summer, fans will catch a glimpse of his “Stories of Discovery” documentary, which shows how boating has influenced his life and his music. Fans can also go to Discover Boating's website to find exclusive content from Owens, as well as a chance to win concert tickets. Owens wants to introduce people to the boating lifestyle, and will help in the site's social media efforts.
"Any down time I have from touring, I spend on the water," he says. "When I’m boating, I’m not thinking about anything else but that moment—it’s a feeling of freedom like no other. I want to bring this feeling to my fans and give them a look into how great life on the water is. I wouldn’t be who I am without it!"
