West Marine is back with another photo contest for all you dog lovers out there. From August 1st to September 7th, they're looking for pictures of your pooch at sea, on the dock, doing a good old-fashioned doggie paddle, or anywhere else that's seaworthy.
To get your dog in this race, post your photos through Instagram by tagging uploaded photos to WestMarineInc, with hashtags #dogdaysofsummer #westmarine, or on Facebook at facebook.com/westmarine with the hashtags #dogdaysofsummer and #westmarine. Your caption should explain why you and your dog need new boating gear. Five winners will be chosen to receive a $100 West Marine gift card that can be used to dog-ify your boat, boat-ify your dog, or anything in between. Your pictures can be either funny or sentimental, depending on your particular mood. (Legal Note: The dog in the photo doesn’t need to be owned by you, but you need to have the rights to the photos you enter.)
