It wasn’t that long ago that it appeared pontoon boats had forever cemented their place in the boating industry as a leisure vessel designed for slow cruising, fishing and weekend lounging. Pulling a skier or wake boarder was clearly out of the question and even towing a kid on a tube behind your ‘toon wasn’t a guarantee. It’s safe to say that a couple of decades ago, most people felt confident that two words in the dictionary like pontoon and performance seemed the least likely to ever come together.
