Keep Fiberglass Surfaces In Ship Shape With FSR

April 2016 Product PDB Staff

In that prep period between winter and spring that boaters know so well, it’s prime time to hit the deep cleaning. Whether to get you ready for spring or for routine maintenance throughout the year, Davis Instruments' Fiberglass Stain Remover (FSR) will serve you well. This is a unique stain-absorbing gel that fulfills a variety of needs while you’re afloat or ashore.

Designed to remove oil, rust, waterline, exhaust and transom stains, FSR will also spiff up stainless steel stanchions and railings. Its formula fights to get rid of those rust bleeders from the hull or deck. FSR is both tough and delicate enough to eliminate smears from clothing, sail cloth and other fabrics. Use it anywhere you find fiberglass imperfections, from the shower stalls to the spas and on furniture.

Because it’s non-abrasive, FSR is safe to use on white painted surfaces and gel-coats, so you don’t have to worry about sanding or compounding. Simply apply the blue gel with a brush, sponge or cloth and wipe it clean after a few minutes, repeating as needed. The 16-ounce jar of FSR sells for $10.99 and the 67.8-ounce big job bottle sells for $29.99. (510-732-9229/www.davisnet.com)
