On a rolling 12-month basis, U.S. outboard engine wholesale shipments were up 6 percent year over year through April.
That was for the National Marine Manufacturers Association’s control group of manufacturers, which represents 95 percent of the market according to Soundings Trade Only.
The NMMA reported that the gains were led by four-strokes and higher-powered engines. Total retail sales based on warranty card registrations for the period were up 7.9 percent.
