Runabout Sales Ramping up Nationally

January 2017 News Web Exclusive

A new report from Boating Industry indicates the slump in fiberglass runabout sales may be over. The report, collected from data from Statistical Surveys, states that sales are up 6.46 percent nationally, but some areas have experienced an increase many times as large, as much as 43.75 percent in the area of Tampa, Florida! In Detroit, fiberglass runabout sales increased by a whopping 18.86 percent! Though it isn’t good news everywhere, sales dropped in New York, New York by 2.95 percent and in Fort Myers, Florida by 13.15 percent, the stats show rousing overall growth. It seems that people all over are getting onboard with boating, and that can only be good news for boaters everywhere.
