At the Minneapolis Boat Show earlier this month, the staff at PDB magazine got our first look at the all-new Barletta pontoon that was on display. The unique “cockpit forward” design for the northern Indiana-based manufacturer sets the motor pod and engine further back to enhance the performance.
Below deck, a combination I-Beam and Box design is used, offering more structural support for higher powered pontoon boats. Above deck, comfortable furniture using ultra-soft Dolce’ vinyl welcomes you in and the raised helm offers a few added features not seen before.
One phrase owner and Barletta President Bill Fenech likes to use (that is quickly becoming a trending buzz word) is, “Yeti-Ready”and his new boats are just that. The cupholders are designed to fit the popular Yeti cups and built in the swim deck floor is a designated storage area deep enough for a Yeti soft cooler.
There are several USB ports throughout the boat and each pontoon offers Hertz Stereo systems, an Italian stereo system that should rival all other stereo systems in the industry.
