PDB TESTED No. 249: CreekKooler

Published in the July 2018 Issue July 2020 Feature, PDB Tested Brady L. Kay

Normally my kids don’t get overly excited when I order boating products to test, but my little girl’s eyes got big when the CreekKooler arrived. “Is that a mini kayak for Raven?” she asked as she beamed with excitement. My daughter had mistaken the cooler to be a kayak…for her cat. In her defense it does look like a miniature version of our other kayaks, but this cooler is way more practical than a pet carrier.

Because of its kayak-like hull design, it truly is a great cooler for those times when you bring your kayaks, SUP or tubes along on a boating trip. CreekKooler is an insulated, floating cooler that provides easy access to your favorite beverages and food. It has a 30-quart capacity and can hold up to 30 12-ounce cans and 20 pounds of ice, which will dramatically increase your popularity at the sandbar. There are even four designated drink holders on top along with a mini flag holder, and at just under 40 inches long it’s easy to carry using the provided handles that double as reinforced tow points.

The CreekKooler retails for $165 and besides keeping things cool, it comes standard with an eye-catching design that is sure to draw a positive reaction from other boaters who wish they would have thought of it.
