PDB TESTED Portable Jump Starter

Published in the September 2021 Issue October 2022 Feature, PDB Tested

I remember when having just a portable jump starter on board was impressive. It was sure better than trying to store jumper cables under the seats and hoping to catch another boat before it left the sandbar after playing the stereo too long. However, after testing the 10-in-1 JumpSmart, everything else pales in comparison.

JumpSmart is compact, yet with the lightweight design you can jump start your boat as well as most tow vehicles. Plus the LED flashlight has four modes along with an emergency red flashing feature, which is great to have if you get stuck on the water. Need to charge your phone using one of the dual USB ports? Not a problem, as the list of features and the way it can be used goes on and on.

Available in six different colors, JumpSmart retails for $139 which is less expensive than most tows.
