Maglite Mini Pro LED Flashlight: PDB TESTED No. 185

December 2015 PDB Tested

Let’s welcome the newest—and one of the smallest—members of the Maglite family: the Mini Maglite Pro LED 2-Cell AA Flashlight.

The title may be bigger than the actual flashlight is, but the power thrown out by its spot or flood adjustable beam comes in at an impressive 272 lumens, thanks to its state-of-the-art LED light engine. Great for poking around dark storage compartments or double-checking your lines at night, we agree this handy flashlight is a must-have—and really, there’s no excuse to leave it behind, because at just over six inches and four ounces it doesn’t take up much space. The seals are all water resistant and the handle is marked with the trademark diamond knurl design that makes it easy to grip, even with wet hands. Priced at $37, this flashlight shows off the same iconic look and simple functionality as all Maglites. To sum up, we found that the Mini Maglite Pro LED is akin to Rocky Marciano—small for its class, and it packs a powerful punch.
