SeaStar Expands System

April 2016 Product PDB Staff

As new boats increase in power and sophistication, power steering has emerged as a “must-have” option for today’s discerning boat buyer. Optimus Electronic Power Steering (EPS) from SeaStar Solutions has continued to be a popular option. Originally available for boats with twin or triple outboard application, SeaStar recently introduced new systems for boats with single and quad outboards.

While we’ve yet to see quads on the back of a pontoon, it’s nice the SeaStar Optimus EPS will provide the same significant advantages in handling to owners of a full range of single outboard-powered boats.

Initially introduced as part of SeaStar’s breakthrough Optimus 360 joystick docking system, Optimus EPS features several remarkable characteristics that improve and enhance the experience of steering a boat. Both adjustable and programmable, Optimus EPS allows the user to tailor how the boat handles to his personal preference, in addition to making steering a boat a much easier job. New single solutions will provide the same advanced benefits enjoyed by owners of the original systems. (www.seastarsolutions.com)
