Premier Marine Files for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy

June 2017 Industry, News

Premier Marine, maker of Premier Pontoons, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. The news comes as a result of the failed acquisition of the Palm Beach and Weeres brands back in 2011. The company is filing motions that would allow it to continue honoring warrantee claims, paying its employees, and generally continuing to do business. As it stands now, Premier is looking for a new equity partner in its efforts to recover from the recent downturn as it consolidates its manufacturing under one roof and tightens their operation.
