Students to Benefit from Brunswick Scholarships

June 2006 News

The Brunswick Foundation recently awarded nearly $400,000 in scholarships to 100 sons and daughters of Brunswick Corp. employees.

Recipients represent 29 Brunswick locations in the United States and Canada. Awards provide for either annual support of up to $2,000 or multi-year awards up to a maximum of $8,000 per student.

Scholarships are awarded based on the applicant's academic record and extra curricular activities. Financial need also is a consideration. Scholarships can only be used toward a bachelor's degree.

"Clearly, education is of tremendous importance," Adrian Sakowicz, Brunswick's vice president - community relations and corporate marketing alliances, said in a statement. "It is truly Brunswick's privilege to help these fine students pursue their goals."

The foundation has been awarding scholarships for nearly 50 years.
