Though it’s great weather that boaters love, they must also watch for sudden storms and high winds. If you’re a coastal-area boater and are wondering how to secure your boat during a weather event such as high winds or even a hurricane, Secure-A-Lift has the answer.

This innovative new product protects your boat from swinging wildly during high winds, and it can be installed on any boat lift—new or existing. And the benefits just increase from there. Secure-A-Lift is simple to install and can be engaged within minutes. And since all necessary parts are present on the lift, there is no need to look for stored or misplaced ratchet straps.

The Secure-A-Lift Inc. system not only works for pontoon boats, but also was designed for their exact needs. Aaron Rositch, president of Secure-A-Lift Inc said, “The Secure-A-Lift system was designed specifically with the profile of a pontoon in mind when we engineered the wind loads. The flat profile of the side of a pontoon can really grab the wind. Our Light Duty system is engineered for pontoons up to 30 feet long and was designed to withstand direct winds in excess of 100 miles per hour.”

Engineered with the latest in design technology, Secure-A-Lift uses a patent-pending chain system that clamps onto the lift and completely secures the boat lift cradle. It can be installed without drilling or cutting any lift parts.

Speaking of its ease of use, Rositch said, “The engagement process is truly the magic of the Secure-A-Lift system. The boat owner simply takes the securing chain at each corner and secures it in the slots on the piling bracket. The process typically takes less than two minutes to secure all four corners and requires no extra tools.”

The simple design is also cost-effective to manufacture, offering boaters a high-quality and affordable product.

The securing system is made of all highly-durable stainless steel components so that it can withstand the corrosive effects of salt water and weather exposure. It is built to last and gives you years of reliable service life. When asked if the system has been hurricane-tested, Rositch affirmed they had over 50 units installed on Marco Island in Florida ahead of the 2023 hurricane season. He said, “When the outer bands of Hurricane Idalia came through this season, with winds gusting over 50 mph, I am happy to say we did not hear of any incidents.”
