This April, KICKER Marine Audio is ready to “Go Overboard!” in Lake Havasu, Arizona, bringing premium sound to the two largest Western powerboating events, Super Cat Fest West April 9-13 and Anderson Powersports Desert Storm April 23-26. It will be action-packed, back-to-back weekends of go-fast boating as performance boat enthusiasts descend upon Lake Havasu City, the powerboating Mecca of the U.S. West Coast.
EVENT #1 – April 9-13, 2025
KICKER Marine Audio and DCB Performance Marine return as title sponsors for Super Cat Fest West, a “laid-back” fun and fund-raising event. Now in its third year, it began as a sister-event to Lake of the Ozarks but was brought to Lake Havasu by event producer Alvin Heathman and sponsor River Dave of River Dave’s Place.. To date, the event has raised $500,000 for local charities and continues its momentum, drawing all types of boats including catamarans, V-hulls, center consoles and pontoons. Last year, over $300,000 was raised for charities that serve area children and schools and this year, aspirations continue to serve Lake Havasu’s children in need. Super Cat Fest West for Kids participants can turn in their receipts for money spent with sponsors and local businesses in exchange for cards for a poker hand. $100 equals one card, $500 equals a poker hand, and money spent with sponsors equal double value.

All on-water activities such as lunch-runs and photo shoots will be based out of Havasu Riviera Marina, the area’s newest modern facility with over 100 boat slips. Off-the-water activities include nightly street parties and a live charity auction on Saturday night at Horizon Motorsports and Marine, “The Super Toy Store” in Lake Havasu. It will also feature a live auction for $5,000 in KICKER Marine Audio sound equipment as well as other valuable prizes like a 4-seat Can-Am Maverick-R side-by-side with a robust KICKER sound system, custom-built boat trailer, 52” double stack Boxo U.S.A. tool box, golf cart, and several sets of custom propeller necklaces and earrings courtesy of Duncan Jewelry of Osage Beach, Missouri.
EVENT #2 – April 23-26, 2025
Anderson Powersports Desert Storm, now in its 27th year, is known as “The Largest Performance Boating Event on the West Coast,” and follows SCFW. KICKER Marine Audio returns to join forces with Anderson Powersports Desert Storm as presenting sponsor for the 8th year in a row. The event is produced by DSM Events’ Jim Russell and Lake Havasu realtor and prominent community leader Steve Ticknor.
KICKER brings the “Livin’ Loud” vibe to the biggest Street Party in Lake Havasu on Thursday, April 24, where the leading sound company will again showcase its KICKER XRV and its “Boom Room,” a spectacular, immersive surround experience that delivers the power of sound via “the Eye of the Storm” as well as additional displays along Havasu’s Main Street.

At both events, millions of dollars of state-of-the-art performance boats will showcase KICKER Marine Audio’s Real Marine® equipment. Eliminator Boats will be on hand, featuring its latest models--an XR Speedster and a 306 Speedster--both outfitted with the newest KICKER Marine Audio components.
Other sponsors include Elite Audio who will be at both events with matching black and white Avalons with the well-known KICKER 27’ Southbay Tritoon, clad in KICKER Marine Audio and its laid-out tow vehicle, a Cadillac Escalade ESV Platinum loaded with KICKER sound including four 12” subwoofers! California-based Gatorwraps will also be in Havasu. Owner Rod Voegele, a KICKER fan, will be onsite aboard his DCB F32 featuring fully-equipped KICKER Marine Audio components while boasting his own impressive show rig.
Ron’s In Your Ear Audio, another authorized KICKER dealer and installer, will attend and is bringing both a pontoon and a one-of-a-kind 700 HP CP Jet Boat. Ron’s also installed a boat-load of KICKER equipment in Dan Murphy’s new side-by-side. Murphy started Murphco Inc. in 1985 and has long been KICKER’s West Coast distributor.
