Online registration is now available for marinas that are holding events for National Marina Day, August 8th, 2009.
The goals of registration are to acquire a comprehensive list of participating marinas to determine how many marinas hold National Marina Day events, for marinas to see who else is holding an event so they can share tips or work together on an event, and for the media to have access to participants as they plan for National Marina Day stories and reports.
The registration is simply a listing of the marina name, location. Website, and overview of the event. All marinas who are holding a National Marina Day event are asked to sign up at www.marinaassocation.org/nmd/events, or by going to the Association of Marina Industries webpage, www.marinaassociation.org, clicking on National Marina Day and then clicking on Post Your NMD Event on the left hand side menu.
National Marina Day, managed by the Association of Marina Industries, is an annual event designed to highlight and celebrate the important role marinas play in communities across the nation Marinas are asked to hold events to show off their facilities and teach non-boaters and politicians in their regions the value of marinas.
