For those of you who keep your boat in the water all summer
long instead of trailering it all around the country, I envy you. Don't get me
wrong, I love to explore different lakes, but there are some disadvantages. The
reason why pontoon and deck boats are so popular is that these crafts are
designed to be trailered. But one obvious downside is the dirt and bugs that
you pick up on the road.
After a recent trip I thought the windshield of my truck looked
bad, but you wouldn't believe what the bow of the boat looked like. Yikes! So
the first item of business was to get the boat clean again.
There are several products out there that will help you get
your boat washed and looking like
new. I don't believe in the one-product-works-best-for-all type of a
philosophy, but I can tell you that the Meguiar's Flagship Premium Marine Wash
works great.
I won't pretend to know a lot about gentle premium blends of
shampoo and conditioner that will "enrich fiberglass and gel coat finishes
leaving a radiant shine" but I do know that this product safely removed the
dirt and bugs. The best part about it is that it's biodegradable and safe for
the environment.
Flagship Premium Marine Wash is listed at $36.99 on the Meguiar's website. Visit http://www.meguiars.com/en/marine/products/ to check it out for yourself.
