PDB Tested: SPS Force 8 Boating Shoes

November 2012 PDB Tested Roy Sparks

I'm not one of those guys who collect shoes, but this new nautical shoe from Sebago may just be the nicest pair I own. The SPS Force 8 is part of a full range of branded apparel and footwear from Sebago with innovative features and details including the Water Drainage System, removable EMAX cushioned anatomic footbed with water evacuation design and an EVA midsole with water evacuation channeling.

That's just fancy talk for these shoes are comfy, built-to-last and are the perfect shoe for boating. Priced at $165, you may question the need for the slip-resistant SPS outsole and performance tread shoe, but don't be too quick to judge. You pay a little more for quality and it seems every detail has been covered, right down to the lacing system that helps prevent snags.

The shoes are comfy, drain quickly and are just a great all-around boating shoe that should last longer than most fishing gear.
