What You Need To Know
Not only is the dual windshield model unique to the Premier line of boats, but the design is really not something we’ve see a lot of in the pontoon industry. It truly is a hybrid between a runabout and a pontoon and after seeing the way it dives into some extremely sharp corners, you’d swear you were in a V-hull boat.
The Highlights
The only thing better than the look of the FlexSteel bench seats is the actual comfort. With suspension seat backs and bases, there’s really not a bad seat onboard. In the bow there are two chaise lounges and hidden below the portside one is a great space-saving pop-up changing room. When fully open, the enclosure stands over 6 feet tall and even includes a mirror inside. Also in the bow is the optional Polk Audio stereo unit with a remote located in the stern as well as full access being given to both the captain and the first mate. The stereo system includes six amplified speakers, plus a subwoofer, so no matter where you’re at on the boat the music will find you.
For the driver, the elevated fiberglass platform with the windshield is a nice touch and the helm chair that slides, swivels and reclines and is identical to the first-mate one. Worth noting, the windshields actually deflect air flow from the driver and passenger, which really is a big deal. At the helm console is a Beacon Electronics System that includes a GPS and allows you to control everything from the touch screen console. While the screen is the center of the dash, the helm panel also includes Mercury’s SmartCraft multi-function gauges.

In case you’re worried that having that much control will go to the captain’s head, across from the helm, the first-mate also has a Beacon touch screen. Included in the controls is an optional camera that is located in the stern that allows you to keep an eye on your skiers. There are a couple of glove boxes for the first mate in this dual console area as well.
In the stern is a removable filler gate seat, which gives you the option to create a U-shaped seating section in the bow if you prefer. Outside the rear gate is a great swim deck that includes a new stainless steel four-step boarding ladder with built-in LED lights. Also is a TurboSwing that takes water sports to a whole new level.
Worth noting, the Seagrass cushioned flooring now has a 10 year warranty. The nearly 7-foot-long in-floor ski locker and the new chocolate-colored vinyl accents throughout help round out the long list of great features.
Inspection Notes
There are two 27-inch diameter pontoons with a 36-inch diameter U-shaped center tube that is part of the PTX package. Up top the rails are powder coated and stand 28 inches tall around the perimeter, helping make this a safe, family-friendly boat.
Performance Evaluation
With the proven PTX hull we were able to handle this pontoon like it was a 20-foot V-hull boat as we dived into the sharp corners. At full throttle we easily reached speeds over the 40-mile-per-hour mark with the Mercury 300 Pro XL outboard. This Premier, like all PTX models from this builder, is extremely fun to drive and will surprise you with how well it performs.
Our Take
Fun comes standard on this Premier that includes everything you need for a great day on the water. While the price tag isn’t for everyone, you’ll never have to worry about the quality. As tested with the key options and upgrades, this boat is sure to put a smile on your face every time you go out.

Why we love this boat…You truly get the best of all worlds with this S-Series pontoon that exemplifies extreme comfort with a V-hull-like bottom that allows you to turn on a dime.
Just being picky…We love the hidden changing room, but we wish there wasn’t a ledge that you have to step over to access it.
PDB Days Reader Choice Feedback
