Life on the water just got a little easier. Most pontoon and deck boats have a 12-volt outlet, but what do you do when you need to charge more than one device at the same time? With only one port onboard, I went on the hunt for something I wasn’t even sure existed yet and that’s when I found this dual USB port gooseneck 3.4 amp charger from the Tough Tested line at Mizco International.
The first port is best for charging Smartphones at 1 amp and the second is optimal for tablets and higher-powered phones at 2.4 amps. With a retail price of $24.99, I decided to give it a try.
There are two things I like about the charger right off after giving it a try. First, the flexible gooseneck coiled cable makes it extremely easy to use and you can position it where you need it. The other nice feature is the lighted face so you know when it’s on. Plus it’s easier to plug in on those evening cruises when your battery is most likely close to being dead.
The Tough Tested brand is designed for wear and tear for professionals and has proven to be tough. The brand is now extending its reach to general consumers, which helps explain the “over-built” qualities of this dual charger. Overall the Tough Tested dual USB port charger earned a high rating score for overall function and design.
