Three Things
Plush seating, an open walk-through layout and user-friendly amenities help highlight all that this Atlantis has to offer.
Breakdown
While we feel the captain should have the most comfortable seat onboard, it is equally important that the first mate doesn’t get overlooked so that’s why the identical dual helm chairs make a lot of sense. It’s a good look and it helps make the walk-through floorplan feel that much more spacious. In fact, from the bow gate to the stern, there is 20 feet of useable deck space, which helps with the inviting and open feeling Landau is going for.
All the furniture is done in-house so the manufacturer is able to incorporate different patterns like the arch design used on this particular model. When you look at the furniture, the seats almost look over-stuffed and good news: they are as comfortable as they look. In the bow are two chaise lounges and in the stern are two more with designated storage areas below. These storage compartments use netting instead of a door, but each provides a great option to hide your gear.
New for 2016, the helm console has been redesigned with a fiberglass base and a vinyl-wrapped dash. There is a good variety of gauges and by putting the rocker switches off to the side of the helm, it really simplifies the look. If we’re being picky, a couple of large multi-function gauges might take this layout one step further to really provide a clean look, rather than having up to eight smaller individual gauges. However, we don’t want to overlook the fact that as is, this helm console helps provide a lot of great and needed information for the captain.
Next to the Marine Audio Bluetooth stereo beside the tilt steering wheel is a 12-volt outlet as well as USB/Auxiliary port so you never have to be without your music. Speaking of tunes, the optional upgrade to the Premium Sound package that includes an amp and six Infinity speakers is a must in our book. The speakers are strategically placed with three in the bow and three in the stern and we probably had too much fun “testing” out this system. The LED courtesy lights are another great option and a perfect added touch that especially goes well with the Infinity flooring.
Outside the stern gate is an average-size swim deck with a deep four-step boarding ladder as well as very tall ski/tow bar. Other key features include a 10-foot Bimini top, 34-gallon fuel tank and two-tone outside panels that use a combination of round and square tubing for a unique exterior look.
Inspection
Below deck there are three U-shaped pontoons that are 21 by 25 inches in diameter with lifting strakes on all three logs and included is an under-deck aluminum splash skin. The 3/16-inch C-channel cross members are on 16-inch centers for an extremely solid undercarriage.
Handling
Even with the Suzuki 200hp four-stroke outboard we weren’t expecting a zero-to-20-mile-per-hour time of just four seconds! Wow, that’s impressive. We easily reached speeds in the mid 40s at full throttle and because of how easy it is to turn, we really had a great time driving it.
Final Thoughts
If being comfortable is a top priority for you and your family then the seats from this Landau are calling your name. This is a well-built pontoon with an attractive look both inside and out that is extremely user-friendly with an amazing sound system.

Why we love this boat…The spaciousness and comfort of this Landau is amazing with just the right combination of standard features and options.
Just being picky…A couple of large multi-function gauges might provide a cleaner look at the helm rather than smaller individual ones, but as is this ‘toon has full instrumentation.
