Young Boaters Wanted

Published in the April 2009 Issue April 2009

It's good to start reading to children at an early age and there are a ton of books out there to choose from. But as a boater, there is a picture book that you're going to want to pick up. It's called My First Picture book of Boating Words and it's published by Little Harbor Publishing. Like most picture books the book is filled with large photos, but what makes it unique is the subject.

It's nautical-driven and even though it lacks a pontoon or deck boat reference, there are still plenty of boating words and terms for children to learn. It's fun for children to see a photo of a helm, lifejacket, dock or even a fender in this book and then see it for themselves when they're out boating. It teaches children the basic boating words by using fun pictures.

If you have a little captain in the house, this book would be perfect to prepare them for the upcoming boating season. To order this book, please visit www.littleharborpublishing.com.
