TackleWebs Cupholder:PDB TESTED No. 215

October 2018 PDB Tested, Feature Roy Sparks

Here is a simple yet effective way to help you add cupholders to your boat in those areas the manufacturer might have overlooked. The Hook Tape Cup Holder from TackleWebs uses Velcro with an adhesive backing to allow you to put it just about anywhere. Any spot instantly transforms into the perfect spot to hold your beverages—including cans with coozies—or even a better way just to store your sunglasses or other small items.

It’s surprisingly strong and it does hold the weight well. It retails for $14.99, which seems like a fair price. Installation was of course very simple and our TackleWebs Cup Holder held up just fine for the duration of the summer before we removed it for winter storage. At this point we can’t really rate the longevity of the design, but for the price you’ll get plenty in return for your minimal investment.
