Part of the ‘toon package is the color scheme. That’s what creates the first impression when you go to buy and what other people think when they see your new investment for the first time. Our forum members were debating this issue.
[Wish2Fish] I added some grey seats over the past few years and I’m thinking about updating the rest of the boat including the flooring, bimini, cover and decals. Considering grey/blue/black decals and a blue bimini top, but my problem is the floor. There is grey vinyl flooring, but the tan looks like it might be cooler because it has white in it. So my question is if tan goes with grey?
[cwag911] replied with his own personal preference. I like wine with grey. We painted an office grey with a burgundy stripe around the room and all the furniture and accents were burgundy.
[bigkahuna] Tan of course is a neutral color and will go with anything. But an “Ocean” or “Wine” color would add some contrast or some pizzazz to your grey seats and interior. If you are considering grey/blue/black decals and a blue bimini color, an “Ocean” color would go perfect in the color scheme. Never had vinyl floors, do they get really hot in the direct sun? I guess it would get hot regardless of the color. That would be something to consider.
[Nightfisher] offers a unique spin. I think the tan will be fine and neutral as well. I stuck with black and white on my boat and now it looks like an Oreo.
