If you think one of your first mate’s responsibilities includes jumping off the bow of your boat when docking, this product is for you. Not only is it not necessary to have to jump each time, this method is actually quite unsafe.
The Landing Loop caught our eye so we decided to try it out. It’s one of those simple solutions to the age-old challenge of docking a boat, but it really does work. When you pull up to a dock you simply lay a docking line over a cleat, piling, or post without ever leaning or jumping off the boat. When the wind is blowing, the Landing Loop can be a real lifesaver.
Just make a slip knot at the end of your docking line, extend this boat pole as needed (up to 11 feet), place the frame over the cleat and pull the line tight. It’s really that simple. Each Landing Loop includes a DVD with step-by-step boat docking instructions just in case you have questions.
The frame does detach and the collapsed length of the pole is just 45 inches. With shipping in the U.S. you’re looking at around $86, which isn’t too bad considering you never have to worry about docking by yourself when there is no one on the dock to help you. It works and stores easily on a pontoon boat. What more could you ask for?
